The performance series prepared as part of the Do You Remember the Scent of Spring? program, in collaboration with Performistanbul, continues with Mk Yurttaş’s participatory performance Page Number. Accompanied by an experience that expands from the intimate to the public sphere, the work investigates the instinctive relationships between listening and storytelling and the acts of remembering, forgetting, concealing, (self-)censorship, hiding, and protection.

Drawing from the books the artist has collected since their youth, Yurttaş will select five YKY publications—each with the heft of a brick—and carry out a silent reading act. The pages will be re-voiced through states such as darkness, joy, cringe, control, self-examination, and trust.
