672 hours live process without intervals

Performistanbul artists will present a long durational live process to celebrate platform’s second anniversary and to highlight the Performistanbul Live Art Research Space. Entitled NEEDED: YOU the live process will take place in the building of the Research Space, which is under construction and will last for 28 days and 672 hours straight, with no intervals.

The aim is to reveal the raw material of humanity; to remind the most primitive feelings in us. We believe we can trigger transformation by a long durational work and that’s why we are presenting not a resolution but the process itself. Our objective is to have the audience involved in the process and live a mutually nourishing, pure experience. We would like the audience to enter the door unbiased; find a place of their own and feel valuable.

The performances invite us to a live process, presenting transparently all stages of a performance. It is an existential invitation, aiming to encourage the audience to find their own state of mind where the audience and the artists nourish each other mutually and make the audience realise their strength, value and the crucial role they have in the process.

One Ticket One Book

NEEDED: YOU will start on Friday, February 16th at 10.00 pm and will last for 28 days straight, until March 16th. Tickets will be available at www.biletix.com and can also be purchased at the entrance of the venue. Weekly entrance fee for adults is 25TL and monthly entrance fee is 80TL, allowing multiple entrance to the venue. There will be no admission fee for students.

The total revenue from the sale of the tickets will be allocated to supply books for the library of Performistanbul Live Art Research Space. The name of the ticket owners will be memorialised on a bookplate noting the name of each donor.
