Simge Burhanoğlu; Founder Director of International performance art platform Performistanbul, performance curator and ballet critic, elaborates on human and their physical & mental state of mind. She investigates the human body through various disciplines and currently continues her studies on performance art. Believing in the healing and unifying power of performance art, she manages this discipline as a significant and influential tool in order to reach out to people. Burhanoglu pursues her work to put into practice Performsitanbul Live Art Research Space; through which she aims to explore new dialects – which will be convenient for the 21 st century – as well as researching in the area of performance art. After having education for 12 years in the field of ballet, she has completed her bachelor’s degree at Istanbul Bilgi University, in the Management of Stage and Performing Arts Department. She then continued her postgraduate degree in London, on Ballet Studies at the University of Roehampton.
